Robert V. Fontanesi, DDS,
Diplomate American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, is a graduate of
the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He received his Oral and
Maxillofacial surgery training at the University of Iowa where he also
earned a Masters of Science Degree. A practicing oral surgeon since 1967, he
has been on the consulting staff at the Long Beach Veterans Administration Hospital,
Loma Linda University, and the University of California at Irvine. He has
been chief of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Western Medical Center and
St. Joseph’s Hospital. Dr. Fontanesi has lectured in Europe and Canada as
well as the United States and has been a consultant for several insurance
companies. Dr. Fontanesi was president of the Southern California Society of
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 1990. Professionally Dr. Fontanesi’s
particular areas of interest and expertise are the correction of dental and
facial malrelationships, reconstruction of the jawbones in preparation for
dental implants, and placing dental implants. |
